“Momma-K,” said Jynx in a judgmental tone, “I think you have a thing for princesses. Jane is four, she’s the industrialist princess.”
“Would you believe there’s a fifth?”
“Bloody moons, Momma, you need help.”

Kita’s inability as god to bring them back made it worse. To have all her power and still be unable to protect the ones she loved broke her heart.

“You can’t fight it,” Turnip said with a smile that showed off her two large front teeth.
Kita rolled her eyes. Turnip was in for a surprise in less than an hour. Until then, Kita had to figure out a way to kill time. The first thing she did was turn up the heat she generated to discourage anything else from biting her. Without her computer she couldn’t go as hot as she normally could, but it should be enough to dissuade critters from trying to make her a meal.
